About the brand

Captain Fawcett

United Kingdom

It all started in a small English kitchen, where Richie Finney, a veteran film technician, mixed his first mustache waxes in an old baked bean tin. His goal was simple: he just wanted to make a product that actually worked, never imagining that this makeshift workshop would give rise to a brand that would conquer the world.

His wife, an Emmy and BAFTA award-winning makeup artist, took those waxes to film sets, where they quickly caught the attention of actors and crew. Interest kept growing, and the hobby gave birth to Captain Fawcett, a brand inspired by the spirit of the English gentleman adventurer who never loses his manners, whatever the circumstances.

The legend of the lost Captain Peabody Fawcett, whose “rediscovered” journals and recipes inspired the products, gave the brand an authentic and unmistakable identity. Richie combined British humor, elegance and craftsmanship to create products with soul.

The Captain Fawcett Emporium in Norfolk is currently the largest museum of barbering memorabilia in the world.

The brand's presence in Serbia holds special meaning. Not only because men here value quality, but also because, as Richie likes to say: “Serbia has the best food I've ever tasted in my life.” After several visits to Belgrade, Captain Fawcett feels right at home here.
