The Reuzel story begins in the heart of Rotterdam, at the renowned Schorem Haarsnijder en Barbier, the place where traditional barbering got a contemporary identity. Founders Leen Bokhorst and Bertus Janssen spent years building their reputation doing nothing but classic men's cuts, relying on old-school techniques and an uncompromising commitment to quality.

They weren't willing to settle for what was available — so they decided to make something of their own. Not something trendy, but something that works in a real barbershop, day in and day out. That's how Reuzel was born, a name that means “lard” in Dutch, a tribute to the old-school pomades used by generations before them.
